About PyRun

A high-performance, browser-based Python IDE designed for the modern web.

The Mission

We believe development should be frictionless. PyRun provides a zero-setup environment where you can start writing and testing logic in seconds, on any device.

Technology

By leveraging Pyodide and WebAssembly, we bring the full power of a Python 3.11 environment directly to your browser's runtime.

Our Story

PyRun started as an experiment in bringing desktop-level development tools to the browser. As web technologies evolved with WebAssembly and SharedArrayBuffers, we saw an opportunity to create an IDE that feels as fast as a native app while remaining accessible via a simple URL.

Today, PyRun is used by developers for quick prototyping, students for learning Python without installation hurdles, and researchers for sharing interactive code snippets.

Built by a Solo Developer

PyRun is independently built and maintained by a single developer passionate about making Python accessible to everyone. Every feature, tutorial, and line of code you see here is crafted with care by one person who believes great developer tools shouldn't require a corporate budget.

All tutorials and code examples published on PyRun are personally tested to ensure they are functionally accurate and aligned with modern Python (3.11+) best practices. Quality matters — even as a solo project.
